About four years ago I was given this bike by a member of the Hells Angels, no bullshit. It's a 1985 Miyata Pista. I was out late with a friend of mine when we were approached by four members of the Hells Angels. They were extremely kind and one of them engaged us in conversation about bikes. He used to ride and was admiring our rides. I owned a single speed at the time and hadn't given much thought of riding fixed. He mentioned he had one bike left just collecting dust and asked if I wanted it. I said yes of course and he brought it to me a few days later. I was delivering at Jimmy John's at the time and that morning I put my big boy pants on and rode fixed for the first time during my shift. I was a natural and instantly fell in LOVE! It was fate for sure. I've had a number of fixed gear track bike through these years and developed a passion that I just can't exactly describe. Unfortunately recently this bike and the other 6 or so that I have collected were all stolen😢 it has really taken a toll on me due to depression. Life was already kinda not so awesome and this just put a nail in the coffin. I started with a high end bike and had plenty of others and now I ride almost stock state Co. bike because, well I'm poor lol. Not the worst of an entry level type bike, but still pretty entry level. I basically went from driving luxury cars to driving a Ford Focus. It's my birthday today and I woke up this morning thinking about this beautiful bike I once had, along with all the others which I might post a few of those later today. I don't know why it happened to me but it did, and it happened at the worst time in life. I feel like a bitch letting some bicycles further ruin my life. I commute by bike only and have for about six years now so it's hard to just forget about it. Now it's winter and I've come to realize the upkeep on a more entry level bike is more expensive, and digging this hole I'm in even deeper. Happy birthday to me👎🏽
