  1. How? Drive side will always push more power unless you use clipless to distribute the load on both side. Low quality pedals will wear out pretty quick.

    You were possibly pedaling with a loose pedal and stripped the threads on the crank arm. Might need a new crank too!

My guess is the pedal wasn’t properly screwed in and came loose, then the play of a loose pedal combined with the repeated stress of turning the crank and thus jiggling the pedal in the threads has completely ruined both that pedal’s and crank’s threads. You’ll likely need to replace both the pedal and the crank.

    In the future when something is loose on your bike, fix it right away rather than letting it get worse.
