I tend to try to commute in the shoes I wear to work. Most of the time it works out ok.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
Distance, frequency of stopping, destination and weather conditions depending.
Road bike and minivelo have hybrid spd/platform pedals and ebike only has platform.
I generally prefer being clipped in with a stiff soled shoes while riding, but walking in them sucks.
