After quite some time kicking around the idea of a front rack, I picked up a Pure Cycles Urban Front Rack (https://365cycles.com/products/pure-cycles-urban-front-rack-basket-silver-bskt0241-bicycle-baskets). I noticed that it could be mounted on the fork crown and figured that, if I was lucky, that’d be sturdy enough (stupid?). I also picked up some p clamps because my fork doesn’t have eyelets.
Admittedly, I probably should’ve paid closer attention to measurements before making the purchase because the rack doesn’t seem like a fit as is. The mount for the fork crown feels way too easy to move up and down so I’m assuming the points that would attach to an eyelet are necessary. I can’t seem to position the p clamps in a way that would provide an attachment point either. Anybody have any tips for something like this? I remember seeing pictures of an adaptor that can be slipped on under the nut that would provide an eyelet-type attachment but I’m struggling to recall what the name of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Old man mountain makes adapter nuts. They replace the nuts that hold your wheel on and have a 5mm threaded hole on the end.
