not suitable for the pavement condition in the Philippines. That style of wheel is only for the velodrome.
I’ve seen a lot of post from people that worn against riding on these. Those posts have been backed up by multiple photographs of exploded wheels that failed at the hub.
Those posts have also talked about some pretty nasty injuries as a result.
I would avoid. These were banned by the UCI and people’s “mileage” varies heavily from exploding wheels to someone I know riding one for years. Regardless, I would keep your stuff as this one looks in poor shape. If the axle and hub are rusty(?) did they really take care of the carbon either?
Idk, about tree fiddy
I see these all the time for 100-200 USD, I wouldn’t even bother.
112 usd to hurt urself, great deal. no for real, those things are murdermachines in the street
Those things have been smashing faces into the pavement for almost 30 years. If that wheel has survived this long it’s got to be getting close to exploding.
Nice as wall decoration, but you should not be used as a wheel.
These wheels were produced in the 90s, at a time when the manufacturing process was not well mastered outside the aeronautics industry. They are known to explode and are particularly dangerous in the event of a crash (hence the UCI ban).
What’s more, many of them are copies or originals that have been repaired following a failure. In your case, the hub is particularly fishy.
Don’t ride these wheels.
$3 dollars take it or leave it gng
Seller would have to pay me a few grand to put this on my bike, that’s how much a new set of teeth are probably going to cost me when the wheel explodes
Junk
Do it
