My wife has a Giant FastRoad AR 2 2023. She rides 50% road… (and by road I mean crappy English countryside road) and 50% trail or gravel ( a mixture of compacted mud and just mud) with some painful pot holes / massive tree roots.She rides between 50 to a 100 miles at a time.
The wheels set ( giant sx2) that came with the bike are awful. Constantly buckling, needing the bearings changed etc. One is beyond saving (unable to tru)
So instead of putting more money into these. Could anyone recommend a wheelset (roughly £300 to £400 ) that could take the kind of rides I have described?
- side note: She is more than happy with everything else the bike has to offer

Not sure what your hub spacing/specs ar but assuming 142 and 100 thru axles there are myriad gravel wheel sets to choose from. I would look for something with DT350 hubs, 28 spokes, and gravel or XC hoops.Â
