This was one of the hardest things I’ve done. Mainly because it was my first time ever mountain biking, and we decided to do it with skis and a very heavy backpack, for 50 km in 36 hours time, on very difficult trails. 10/10 would not recommend but also 10/10 would recommend. We biked from Storulvån mountain hut to Sylarna mountain hut, there we left our bikes and continued by foot to the base of the Squirrel glacier. From there we could put our skins on and start touring. We had an epic ski down, a mellow corn field in the middle of summer far away from anyone is all you need to feel a bit of euphoria. It’s the little things. It was a struggle but it was non stop good times with my good friend Mette who was the mastermind behind this mission. Stoked for more missions like this in the future. After I did this I feel like I can accomplish anything, pain struggle just keep the head down and keep rolling your bike;)

Thanks Mette for inviting me on this epic idea and adventure, and thanks to myself for pushing through with zero bike skills.

  1. That looks absolutely amazing! I really want to do something like this myself. And I don't want to at the same time…
At first I thought "what the… biking in winter?!" before I read the whole title 😀

  2. Gillar filmen men finner tyvärr övergångarna väldigt irriterande. Det skrapande ljudet hela tiden påminner om en radio med dålig mottagning. Fortsätt med en väldigt bra kanal annars. Gillar videologg-stilen på skidfilmer.

  3. Good job folks!
This vlog reminded me so much of the similar crazy adventures i had back when the Covid restrictions weren't so awful here in Italy.
But as funny as it actually is, biking + skiing is the best way to hate yourself and your sore muscles for at least 3 days after the job ahah!
    Keep having fun!

  4. Hi Malou, thanks for posting such a great video. It looks like it was hard work but a lot of fun. Your love of adventure and the great outdoors is very inspiring – I think I would like to try ski touring in the next couple of years.
