Just finished a trip around the big island of Hawaii! Can’t recommend it enough. Times where there was no other option but busy highways with no shoulders but the immaculate gravel afterwards always made it worth it.

Route? I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time but haven’t been able to decide on what route to use
* How many days do you think is a good trip there?
* Did you camp each night?
* Was it expensive?
* What percentage of riding miles was busy road vs nice road like in the pics?
…I had no idea Hawaii had quiet roads through such wild spaces! I was under the impression it was all hotels and steep volcano with chunky rocks.
