After decades on bikes, from BMX thru to road I recently got my fist gravel bike and a few weeks in I get my first puncture. Yay!
Tire came off east but am really struggling to get it back on as I’m just chasing it around the rim. Any tips for this? Trying to do both sides at once is difficult and seems like there is too much tension for that. And using just one lever results in the other side slipping off more.
Any tips gratefully received, feeling like a total amateur after 30 years of cycling haha!

Walk away from it for a while. Go and do some other stuff, and revisit it in a few hours!
Put one lever at each point where the tyre crimps over a little and lever it on while working the two levers together at the same time and it should just kind of pop in to place
You can try to pinch the tire starting on the side where the tire is in the rim to make it fall in the groove of the rim. Then with one hand you keep pulling on the tire to pop it in and with the other you keep pinching the tire on each side. Normally you’ll be able to gain a few millimetres and the tire will enter the rim more easily.

The center of the rim has a channel that goes all the way around. You want to pinch your tire on both sides so that the bead rests in that center channel all around the wheel, starting at the opposite end of the valve. That gives you a bit more room to “pull” the tire by the time you get to the valve.
Also, you want to end at the valve, not start at the valve. 🙂
