People fixate way too much on spending more money than the bike is worth. Personally, I separate the cost of a frame or stock bike from the additional work on it. One part is acquiring the foundation, and the other is building the bike that you want.

fork upgrade? Â for a short time in the 90s bmx bikes had 1″ threadless aheadsets right around the time mtbs were adapting 1-1/8″ which eventually we drifted towards aswell. everytime i see a fugly quill adapter i wonder if any 1″ threadless mtb forks exist. Â maybe its just your stem bag or maybe this is 1-1/8″ for that matter but yours looks better than 99% of them. edit: upon re looking it appears to be 1″Â
