Apparently, it’s a zip tie holding the brake hose and shifter cables in place. Otherwise, they’d flap around inside there and create excessive noise.
Take a look at the exploded drawing in your bike garage. Pretty interesting.

By the way, want to know something interesting? Canyon has covers for this part. Nice plastic covers that fully cover the hole. My bike came with such a cover. However, mentioning the existence of these covers in this sub often gets you downvoted. I have yet to figure out why this happens.
