If you want to know more about biking in the Netherlands visit the chanel "not just bikes"
As a Dutch 16 year old, it is truly amazing! The good cycling infrastructure we have in The Netherlands now, and we continue to improve makes it so kids can be more independent from a young age. In the US for example, you have to rely on your parents to bring you ANYWHERE, until you get a drivers license, because everything is so car dependent.
I don't think foreign people can image how big biking is in the Netherlands.
Just like they can't imagine how flat it is.
I have 2 bikes. Racing bicycle (7000km per year) and normal “city” bike for getting groceries, going to friends and family, to the tennis club (I’ve never been there by car and play tennis for 15 years). Also in winter.
I have 3 bikes. A racing bike, a 'normal' bike for traveling to the Train station, and an electric bike 🤪 my son was still 2 years old when he could drive a bike without training wheels. It's all about infrastructure 👌🏻 ✌🏻✌🏻 it's faster, much cheaper and healthier to go by bike to the city centre than by car. By bike we don't pass any traffic lights during a 6km ride.
Very true! I love biking with my son! Picking and Dropping him to school!
In short: bigger than you could fathom.
He/him she/her really???
Why not he/him/his/mate/hoe/heyyoumanlyman/patak (Klingon )
It's definitely not that easy to estimate how many bikes per capita there are in a Country
