  1. anything outside of grassroots local gravel is simply oversaturated top to bottom and across every aspect. save your money

  2. Midsouth 100 : $150
    Coast to Coast 204: $190
    unPAved 125: $195
    Gravel Worlds 150: $145
    Barry Roubaix 100: $110

IMO yes, it is very overpriced

That is silly. People are paying for the name, not the experience. A lot of great races charge 1/3 of that, and for a better race experience too.

  4. Unbound 200 was that much last year… it’s $325 this year. The Unbound
XL race is cheaper than the 200…

Price is what people will pay to ride it! I would never pay that much but plenty of people will.

SBT Gravel has at a lot controversy over the last year, especially over how many participants they have been bringing in. They likely jacked up the price to weed out some of the riders while still bringing in the same amount of money.

  6. I remember when gravel races used to give you so much swag at pickup, you’d have a hard time carrying it all, tons of beer and food tokens, ect.

Now it’s just a beer and a shitty burger at the end if you’re lucky, gotta buy the Tshirt and bottle now, and all we get are just salt tablets and marketing.

Like most gravel events, if the entry seems like a material amount of money to you, it’s probably not worth it.
