Don’t write off haggis! I’ve had haggis twice (once at the Scran & Scallie) and despite my hesitations it’s delicious! And the Scran & Scallie food is just divine – definitely worth a visit.
I live in Edinburgh and for great food you should try the Dome (which at Xmas is magical) the dome is directly opposite the George Hotel where she stayed. Wedgwood , Monteith and Devils advocate all do amazing food on the Royal mile. Night life swanky- George St, touristy Rose Street or Grassmarket and student ville the cowgate. But there are great bars/restaurants all over the city with locals with live music
Nice one guys. Well done Natasha, I’m an Edinburgh resident and have ten years next week🙂
The Edinburgh Fringe and The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo are awesome. The downside is that is mega busy in August when the festival is on.
Wish Americans didnt try to fit so much in ,, such a short space of time,,,,lm a tour guide,,coach driver and honestly they want Edinburgh,,St Andrews,Skye,,Glencoe,,,Inverness etc etc in a week??? Lots of them DO Europe in 14 days,,,Go everywhere and see nothing,,,such a shame.
I love Edinburgh, it's around 90 minutes by train away from me, and costs around £8 (~$10US)
We stayed at the Holiday Inn next to the Zoo (worth a visit) about 10/15 minutes from the Royal Mile. We stayed there because it had free parking – hotels further in charge the earth! But we didn’t drive – we used the buses which are quick and cheap. We used them all the time we were there.
One tip is: Make sure you pre-book Edinburgh Castle. It’s unlikely you’ll get in otherwise. No walk ups!
I live in Hamilton, just 20 mins from Glasgow and perhaps an hour from Edinburgh.. If you guys want to visit then I’m more than happy to vacate my flat for you guys to stay and go visit places. Just an offer 😊 xx
Congrats Nat on your 20 years!!!! ❤. Keep going! I can’t wait to see the vids of when you and debs visit. It’s cold but beautiful x

You can buy Irn Bru 1901 in supermarkets and most corner shops, but pubs? Not likely.
i dont know if this video will show it but yo should look at the balmoral, its a 5 star hotel and a favourite of the royals
Try may next year, when along with the staff who work onboard, approx 50-60 ex Royal Yachtsmen return to the ship for the week to help keep our old home looking good
Top tip; instead of stumbling over your Edin ‘borro’ and Edin ‘borrow’s’ lol try a very normal Edin ‘burruh’ or Edin ‘bruh’ depending on the context but both equally acceptable. Come visit soon ❤❤
I have eaten at the Witchery. The food and the setting was wonderful. You ladies would love it. It is expensive, but what the hell, we all get to spoil ourselves sometime. The Witchery is always booked up well in advance, so when you make a solid booking for your trip, pick a night and book your spot there. The Witchery provided the food for my daughter's wedding in Stirling. (Edinburgh's baby sister} Vegetarian haggis with Drambuie Natasha, yummy. As were the alternatives. People will suggest not going in August to avoid the crowds. They are correct, but this means you would miss the Edinburgh Tattoo and all the entertainment of the Edinburgh festival. I'm guessing both of you would rather walk barefoot over coals than miss the Tattoo. That too is always booked up well in advance, so again, when you book your trip, book tickets for that. It's not hype with Edinburgh, it's a great city.
Natasha I love your hair,,'IM LOVING IT' ✌️❤️
Irn Bru is available everywhere, Irn Bru 1901 is more a niche market imo.
Victoria street is where Diagon Alley from the Harry potter books is based on.
you ladies need to come to Austria. Vienna, Salzburg, Graz, Innsbruck, the Lake Side….
You can’t stay on the royal yacht Britannia but there is a yacht near by called the fingal which is a luxury ship/yacht that’s not a hotel and restaurant and is linked to the royal yacht such as the leather on board coming from the same place/manufacturer
You mean a trio.
Pronounce it Edinburuh. Locals pronounce it Embra (I'm a local).
Don't try and be a kilt inspector, that's sexual harassment. Would you like some inspecting your skirt?
Sean Connery was a Milkman in Edinburgh when he was young
Congratulations Natasha 🎊 I need to go have a proper look round Edinburgh
Hi ladies 👋 I live in Edinburgh and would be happy to show you around. I always feel really grateful living here and it makes me happy to hear so many people appreciating it ❤. It’s a very friendly and welcoming place. August is a great month to visit as the Fringe festival takes over the city with up to 4000 shows a day, Military Tattoo, and lots of fun🎭 but accommodation prices are higher and very busy! Holyrood Palace opens about 9.30 I think, but best to check the website as it closes when there are special events or Royals are visiting. It doesn’t get as busy as the Castle which I would recommend getting a timeslot in advance. I would wait at the bottom of Arthur’s Seat as well 😂. The Witchery is lovely, but there’s no shortage of great restaurants. The Dome needs to be on your list as well as The Angel’s Share. Hope you get to visit soon!
Edinburgh is an incredible place and my favourite city. Just down the road from the Royal Yacht Britannia, in Leith, there is a place called Mimis Bakehouse which is a wonderful place to have afternoon tea (book in advance to avoid disappointment). They have been voted Scotlands best baker a number of times for good reason. There is also Greyfriar's Kirkyard which can be visited independently or the Niddry Street vaults which can be visited in one of the city's ghost tours. Edinburgh Zoo is home to the Scottish wildcat and also an enjoyable day out. There's a place on Cockburn Street called Arcade which does a banging Scottish breakfast. Whilst not Edinburgh, close by there is also Linlithgow Palace which is my favourite "castle", it's a lot quieter and cheaper than Edinburgh castle but it is gorgeous and has so many places to explore – on a summer day you can sit by the loch and soak in your surroundings.
Only scratching the surface. The Royal Mile, Holyrood Palace etc. Amazing history. Every century laid bare. The video doesn't capture the 3D vistas of the city. But without the history you miss a lot.
Thank heavens for a video about Edinburgh that doesn't rabbit on about Harry Potter! Edinburgh has so much history, but so many visitors seem obsessed with the Harry Potter connection. It was refreshing to see Victoria Street without being told yet again that it was the model for Diagon Alley. It was a bit unfair to Leith, though. Yes there are grotty bits, but the area known as The Shore where the Water of Leith reaches the sea is extremely picturesque.
If you like the idea of a hotel like a massive castle, try the Balmoral Hotel (former North British Hotel) next to Waverley railway station. Grand, lush, not far from the real castle.
