  1. Damn. That’s what I’d expect from a dot fluid accident. Or maybe 3 winters of salt on the roads. Officially the worst caliper condition for a modern mineral oil brake I’ve seen.
    Do you live near an ocean??

  2. That appears to be a problem with the finishing on the caliper itself. It shouldnt corrode like this unless you park it in the ocean every day. I’d take it to a shop and try to get them to warranty it with Shimano

  3. Get in the habit of drying off your bike every time it gets wet and it will last a lot longer.

  4. That’s kind of insane to see that level of corrosion on the calliper and only the tiniest spot of flash rust on the disk — impressive!
