My '87 (I think) Schwinn High Sierra. It was meant to be my budget build, replacing the original groupset with an Ltwoo A7 derailleur and an AliExpress 50 tooth cassette. Actually originally I wanted something to throw a crust Clydesdale on the front but I saw this on FB marketplace with the roller cam brakes and I love weird bike stuff so I jumped on it. But I can't put roller cams on a Clydesdale so I guess I just need another bike down the line (wife strongly disagrees with this assessment).
Anyway, I bought the grouppo from AliExpress, then come to find out the cassette won't fit (Uniglide vs Hyperglide), looked up trying to replace the hub but it's the older UG (no bulge), I did see an RJ the Bike Guy vid doing it and there were ball bearings going fking everywhere so I just got some Weinmann wheels off Amazon. Paint is pretty rough, fair bit of bare metal (not much rust though, it's been in a desert climate) so I gave it a couple of coats of clear coat.
Put some Wald cruiser bars on it too, I like the way it looks but not sure I like the way it rides, I'll leave them for a bit but if it doesn't grow on me I'll put the original ones back on. 50 tooth cassette (38 in front) is ridiculous, might change that out for something smaller too. But yeah I've been loving riding it.

Last photo in the series was how I got the bike, had only changed out the brake cables. Doesn’t look that different in terms of before and after for the time and money I put into it haha.
