In our second episode of Chain Reaction, we look at how a driver swap in the 1990s kickstarted a chain of events which culminated in Lewis Hamilton winning his first ever World Championship in 2008!

👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿Amazing video 🔥
I absolutely loved this video.
Hamilton should’ve won it all as a rookie.
More for team lh with their mental illness
The correct driver swap is Nigel Mansell to McLaren, 1995. A move so bad that Ron Dennis, after getting burned on picking an ex-champion, chose to form a young driver programme…which would go on to pick up Lewis Hamilton.
thank you.
Every time a Nascar fan says Kyle Larson is the “best versatile driver in the world”, I can’t help but think Larson isn’t even the best versatile driver to have run the 42 Target car. That title only belongs to JPM 🐐
Those V10s bro
This is great. More of these please!!! Great story. Solid delivery.
This is like saying how Fangio won 5 championships influenced max's win in 2021
How a magical button on a Mercedes steering wheel led to Max's 3 titles
Laughable to think of Montoya as a title contender. It was never likely nor ever looked it. Unless titles are decided on by one ballsy overtaking manouvre.
Biased.
25:26. Don't ever underestimate your opponents.
Don’t let this bri’ish propaganda distract you from the fact that Max drove one of the best races in at least a decade (Brazil 2024)
Wow, many things became clearer to me now, knowing how Hamilton was drafted quickly into F1 and many drivers today couldn't replicate that, they need many more years to be ready, even when they won the GP2 like Lewis.
Hamilton is different.
F1 great work bringing us short docuseries about F1 history and important events that happened ❤❤❤
Anything to make a video about Lewis
I'm very proud as a colombian of Montoya's career outside and inside F1
PEAK STORY TELLING!!!!
I thought what led Lewis Hamilton to win the championship was that Glock let him pass on the last lap on purpose
What a great video, well done F1. More of short documentaries from the history please. I love the privateer era of F1 with frank wlliams, bernie ecclestone, ron dennis, flavio briatore etc peppered with legendary drivers and forgotten greats like alan jones
Ron Dennis always taking as long as possible to say anything
Also if it wasn't for Jacque Villeneuve, Lewis would have never won his 6 titles with Mercedes.
“So, you don’t want to win the 2007 constructors championship”
Well, Alonso was right… indeed 😂
What a beautiful story, this was well made guys. Buxton did a great job voicing it as well, thanks!
But somehow they'll try to convince us that there's no British bias here
We remember that spotted year, when you should've cancelled the Singapure GP but did nothing until next year to protect Lewis results.
Absolutely beautiful
Watching Montoya destroy Michael Andretti was priceless….
👏🏻
What a production that was Will, Mr Buxton. Absolute quality!
He is truly Juan in a million.
Was burj kalifa built in 2006 ?
