Join me on a trip around Sandbach. Along the way we touch on it’s industrial history, Murgatroyds, Brunner Mond, Salt Works and of course Foden / ERF. Along the way we pass the Old Hall, Saxon Crosses, Scotch Common, Pipers Hollow and Wheelock Rail Trail. We pay a visit to Stabbers Bridge and talk about the legend of the Moston Dragon. I hope you enjoy it

  1. Simon. My Grandfather came to Sandbach from Stoke. He worked as a farmer in the Pipper Hollow area. Worked all hours. The story was you can hear Bagpipes but only on a full moon. He never witnessed anything sadly.
