So, long story short, I am a stupid idiot and fuck everything up.
I bought a wheel off bike trainer to ride over the winter and set it up/used it for the first time today. Went to take the bike off and tried to put the rear wheel back on (I've never taken the wheel off before, much less tried to put it back on). Took me like 20 minutes, finally got it on, and the rear derailleur looks completely fucked to me.
The two biggest gears the derailleur rubs on the cassette and shifting now randomly skips like 3 or 4 gears at a time. Worked perfectly before hand.
Did I just cost my self hundreds of more dollars in parts and labor at the bike shop?

Try shifting your gears.. to harder gears.

Also, I would suggest you clean your cassette and derailleur. Cheerios
The deraileuer is probably not egaging the B-screw on the deraileur hanger tab, can’t see from this photos, the B screw should be touching a metal tab with the tip, that’s the position it was when “it worked” before, if that’s the cause, use a 8mm hex key to unbolt the deraileur and put it in place again, the guide pulley will move further apart from the cogs when doing it and will once again clear the top sprockets.
clean and service your drivetrain, it looks dirty and dry as hell, is probably time to replace worn parts due to lack of maintenance, but your current issue is not related to that.
also, a Sora rear deraileur is like $30 dollars, a 9 Speed chain is cheap, even if you broke the stuff, it’s not hundreds of dollars.
