Make sure these no washer left in there, use a wrench to *lightly* make sure the tool is at the end of the thread and then let the puller do the work. Orient yourself into a chest fly position

Try greasing the threads of the crank puller mechanism, I find this helped the last time I had a really stuck crank.
And as someone else suggested, make sure there is no washer in there. I stripped the threads on a crankset once by not checking.
I trust you got the other arm off with the same tool?

Had the same problem 2 weeks ago, hammer didn’t work, bought 2 crank arm remover tools, absolutely jammed in, so I spent 2 hours tops grinding away the aluminium with an adjustable spanner whilst turning the other side, not recommended,.but worked.
