I think I managed to crack my frame, but don't know how it happened (too clamped saddletubeclamp (or how you call it) seems unlikely, because the crack starts underneath…
I'm not sure it's cracked yet or if it's just the paint, but it sounds a bit more dull in the possible cracked area when "hit" with a coin. Any advise in how to proceed? I bought the bike a few months back from a local frame builder here in Germany (definitely gonna ask him for advise), but I doubt it's covered by warranty.

FUBAR sadly, do not use it. Dunno if repairable but contacting frame builder seems like the right choice.

either hidden user error or frame builder should replace IMO!!!
If it’s not under warranty, I’d be surprised if a carbon specialist couldn’t repair that.

The beauty of having a cracked carbon fiber frame. You can just easily replace it with a new one.
Nobody can be certain from just this exterior picture. Take it to the bike shop or manufacturer so they can investigate it. It could be any number of things: just an odd looking scratch in the top layer of the paint, an over-tightened seat clamp or under-inserted seat post leading to a crack.
This is the problem with chain stays that connect lower on the seat tube, the seat tube connection to the top tube has to be super strong otherwise this happens. This is not the first time this has happened.
Was it worth it for the low weight or are you gonna go for steel next time?

Couple thing here, I assume this is a steel bike, that’s fillet brazed? That very short slot in the front of the tube is not helping, neither are those fillets that are cut back within an inch of their life.
If this bike was built by a frame builder that has a business and is actually good, this is absolutely a warranty in any normal case.
If the fillet did crack, I don’t think I’d trust the rest of the bike, they don’t need to be very good to hold up so it’s pretty unsettling.

Shitty factory bond, the joint delaminated. Thats my opinion. The crack is at the juncture of the tubes. I would say its defective.
It is definitely cracked. What makes you think it’s probably cracked? It is visible by naked human eyes. You don’t need a microscope to see that
If it’s from a proper frame builder and not someone drop shipping Chinese carbon then they’d be interested in seeing this.
Most likely cause is insufficient seat post insertion.
If you didn’t crash it is almost certainly a manufacturing error.
The guy who made it should stand behind it. This is obviously his issue.
