James Acaster and I ride a tandem bike (sorry, to British people that’s “tandem cycle”…in England, “bike” is a word you wouldn’t say in front of your mother). We talk career anxiety, hangxiety, and gator anxiety, along with acting in a movie and being around celebrities. James’ HBO special “Hecklers Welcome” was shot in England and is out now in America, and he has four other standup specials on Netflix.

In Tandem is a brand new webseries where standup Chloe Radcliffe (that’s me!) interviews another funny person on the back of her tandem bike, in NYC and LA. It’s like Seinfeld’s Comedians In Cars, but for less successful people. Or like Hot Ones, but the pain is in my guest’s butts, not their mouths.

Subscribe NOW so you don’t miss out on any new videos (because these are GOLD jerry, GOLD). Do it! What are you waiting for!? Why are you not doing exactly as I say!??

  1. Love this, and love you James! All the lanes and your overall safety biking gives me vicarious thrills. My choices when I bike are the sidewalk (illegal but empty in my area) or the street. Did a London tour out of Gabriel's Wharf biking everywhere and also felt that safety while being stunned at the view residents get daily. Hangxiety is going into my vocabulary immediately. ❤❤🫀❤

  2. This a brilliant idea for an interview show! Just in time for winter hahaha.

Seriously though I can’t wait to see who else you get! If you ever get Jeselnik on a tandem bike you will win comedy.

  3. I call it a tandem bike to, but 'UK' depemds where you're from. I know that in Cornwall they call it a 'cyclepaluza' (I'm not sure on spelling hope I don't offend anyone from Cornwall. 😛

  4. James is such a great comedian to introduce to people. if you get the right person he really is a marvel. You couldn't raise the seat for this august institution of ours? Had him pedalling like a cartoon thief Chloe tsk tsk. What a gracious guest. Good show tho. Who's gonna fall off?

  5. First time I have seen this channel, subscribing now. I have seen Chloe before but not as a cyclist. Chloe, you are welcome on our group rides anytime if you are in L.A. Love James, I hope his career keeps expanding if he wants it to. I have been a fan of his for years, loved his stand up I have seen on the telly and his appearances in panel shows. Looking forward to seeing the new special.

  6. this was such a wholesome and profound interview. I'm amazed at the tandem format. I believe even the most comfy sofa makes interviews stiffer than a bike! thank you both <333

  7. Love this format – a nice endorphin boost with an interview OUTSIDE that's still relatively private.
Chloe, nice pacing, keen questions and follow ups!
James, it's all got to be better than the great British Breakdown/Bake-off. Love to see you keep going!

  8. I always turn on James Acaster Mock the Week highlights when I need a laugh. The “Your father must have been a thief” always makes me laugh. (James Acaster MOCK THE WEEK COMPILATION (series 16) 2: 20 in if anyone wants to know).

  9. I think chloe is one of the funniest comedians in the US rn (saw your show in Chelsea earlier this month with my fiance – it was great) and I also really love UK comedy.. this is a frankly insane crossover for me
