Just amazing that Japan placed third in the olympics.
Include indian ,lady
Our country sucks man
Hong Kong or China?
How about Philippines, When Yulo Win, he gets around 100 Million pesos worth of Either Cash or Property!. 😊😊😊
JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU WHAT THIS COUNTRY THINKS ABOUT IT'S ATHLETES.
Not all currency has the same value. Therefore we can only guess about the dollar amounts given being local or US amounts.
our only gold medalist athlete here in Philippines got $2,000,000 from the government and many big companies, plus a luxury condo, and many free lifetime food service 😂
Meanwhile India: If you dont get a medal, ministers will account how much money they have spent in you and got wasted in a live Parliament session .😅 That's why we 1.4 billion get only 5bronze and 1 silver 0 gold.
What do you mean amateur athletes these guys are the top of the top just to be in the olympics
And now I understand why people choose to go and compete for countries outside of where they were born! I’d be learning Hong Kong since I started training lol
Talk about lie by omission.
In the philippines politicians will flood you with rewards, and use you like a campaign material, politicians on service or not yet to be😅😅
4years:$37k
Disrespectful
America should be ashamed to pay our gold winners so low. That amount sounds like what you would pay bronze winners. This must change!!!
HONG KONG OFFERS THAT MUCH I WANT TO BE AN OLYMPIC ATHLETE NOW
37k cause they dont consider gold as a big reward they be disrespecting other countries so bad😠
I’ll just pawn the gold medal😂
You should see Carlos Yulo’s rewards for winning gold for the Philippines. Kuya is set for life
That must be the reason why Eileen Gu decided to represent China instead of USA.
in China, some gold winner can show in many advertisements, which can make them become billionaire😂
In New Zealand, I believe the government pays nothing.
They make a lot more than you think, plus Jobs an positions in the goverment.
Bc Hong Kong people never have their focus on sports but rather in finance and stuff and it’s that tiny portion of people who choose that minority life bringing glory to such a small place can really unite the city.
Singapore has a program to award 1M SGD (about 750K USD) to their gold medalists. But it was claimed only once in 2016.
Why do you not mention mainland china?
Carlos Yulo from the Philippines got $13 million dollars, 2 bedroom condo, and life time food
The difference is how different country get their athletes. In the US, athletes are individuals who get better just doing sports as hobby or school teams. In China and other former soviet countries, athletes are chosen as kids, trained in a national center for the singular purpose of winning gold for the country. This is why china can win as many gold as the US even thought most chinese are quiet bad at sports, as we basically study and do homework all day.
U missed out Singapore. It pays well too
im proud to be hong kong
But US winners get endorsements which can pay off
in india if you get a medal then you’re set. but if not then i don’t even think you could make rent doing a sport
damn. american athletes join just to be in debt. 37k is wildly low. i bet their training cost a shit ton
Still more than Norway's 0$
Ako ya sa pilipines❤❤❤❤
in australia u only get 20k
why is it diffrent
Why even play in the Olympics is it mandatory?
Philippines pays 1.3 million dollars💸
im going to hong kong if i ever go to the olympics
