Purchased a Brompton a couple of weeks ago and loving it. However, I noticed an orange discoloring inside the handlebar hinge when the hinge is halfway open.
Could this be rust? I’ve only ridden the bike in dry conditions.

Possibly. Or just grime from thread grease. Get some alcohol wipes and clean it. If it comes off, not likely rust. If it doesnt, likely rust. Though when i zoom in it looks like the paint on the hinge is scratched or rubbed off so its likely rust
