Well yes, I rode mtb’s all my life, no other bikes ever. But this year decided to try something new. And, hell yeah, I enjoyed it!
It is Ridley Grifn of ‘23 with 2×11 grx810. It is not as gravel as pure gravel bikes you guys posting here, but that is why I bought it – to use for serval purposes including gravel.
I have nothing to compare so just can tell my feelings after mtb :
-
first km were super strange, like learning how to cycle from beginning – narrow bar, can not find control, trying to understand how hey work.
-
first 10 km were super uncomfortable in position, mostly thinking is it normal to have my butt so high; trying to adapt to all vibrations from flat road – something new after full sus mtb!
-
next kms I start feeling it – control, agility, leaning in corners and most impressive speeeeeed.
Wow I enjoyed it. And it is only day 1. The beginning.
