
Winter biking is so underrated. I enjoy it even more than summer. The snow on the trees, the sound of studded tires on the snow, and the quiet trails make it a special experience. I also record my rides as my goal is to cover my home city, and I’m currently at 41%. Check out my channel here:

Fellow Calgary rider here! These last few days have been absolutely gorgeous!
Well, the suns sets at around 5 pm on weekdays, so you can only do daylight biking on weekends. Then you better hope it’s not -20 Celsius. You’re also better off on a studded tire mountain or fat bike for areas where the snow isn’t cleared, which is a lot of the city.
It’s all fine until you ride in conditions where both your breaks and shifters are frozen and using them will simply break them.
