Welcome to Bike Routes of Brum! A channel dedicated to showing safe cycle routes around Birmingham and the West Midlands – inspired by @Londoncycleroutes
In this video we will be cycling from the centre of Northfield to Sycamore Road in Bournville. This route incorporates the Merits Brook Greenway and it should take about 16 minutes to cycle.
The route that I’ve followed can be found here:

Great video. Sometimes i do a circular on the Rea Valley Route to Northfield, then Merritt's Brook Greenway to Bournville, then the canal to Kings Norton and back onto the Rea Valley Route. There's some road sections though when transitioning to the Greenway so it would be nice if they linked it up better.
I'm gonna do some exploring this weekend, should be fun: harborne greenway, along canal to the east side of the city, then south down the river cole and chinn brook, then west on the canal to kings norton and north to harborne. Not sure if this is a route you've done.
There is a cycle lane past the Royal orthopaedic hospital that would take you to where you crossed over the Bristol Rd which in the dark would cut the park sections out.
These are my most cycled routes so I know them really well. That route would be nice in the summer but the hazard of walkers is a problem.
You could also use the quieter roads via Victoria common and get to Bournville that way too.
As always thanks for posting these up.
Manor Farm Park was one of my lockdown discoveries and is great to explore. It even has some (small) waterfalls! Going in the other direction, a nice alternative is to go up Bell Holloway into Northfield, but it is one way. There are so many great routes around here (I live in Stirchley, right next to the River Bourn – where Merritts Brook ends up).
