I don’t understand what is happening here, but I can suggest that your light won’t be visible to anyone if that is where it is positioned.

It looks like this is an Ergotec SP4 dampened seatpost. The black ring right below your seat is supposed to be screwed on the lower part when the seatpost is in its housing.
