These brakes are dying for a change, but the thing is I’m unsure of what specific brake pads they need?
Also since the brake pads are taking rust, do they also need replacing or is that fine to have?

Your discs look done too. Also SRAM DOT brakes need a yearly bleed and brake fluid replacement. Add that to your to do list.
