Wanted to use the drops more, which wasn’t possible with the handlebar bag mounted on the handlebar, so kinda rigged this up to try out… Works fine so far

I do this, but with a bag that normally goes on the fork. I use it to store clothes or low weight stuff. Better handling IMO and you have more space for your hands.
Yea I do this too but with a bit shorter bag so it doenst become so front heavy by sticking so far out.
Check out Crust Bikes towel rack bars! I love them, super wide and very comfortable. I have a large bag up front and can still easily hangout in my drops.
