  1. I have a cheap stationary bike I bought online a few years ago. The threading on the crankshaft and pedal got stripped and j am trying to brainstorm solutions so I don’t have to toss the whole bike. Is replacing the crank possible on these types of bikes? Are there any other creative solutions to get this working again?

  2. Have a look for Helicoil thread repair kit or similar. You might need someone to fix it for you but it can be done.
Or just buy a replacement crank arm.

Find a local nonprofit bike shop and see if they have a pair of cheap square taper cranks

You can’t purchase a ready-made drive side crankarm without a spider for gears. Left side ones are everywhere. Your best bet is to have a shop install a helicoil, which is a precise metal insert that replaces the stripped threads. Probably a $45 job.
