Great riding, you heighlight the main problem I have with gravel racing, Men pacing Women, the lady who came second in Unbound said they need a separate race as clearly there were some issues around pacing, until Women get separated from the Men there will always be the ability to win using somewhat dubious tactics in my mind. Those tactics are ridiculous- hopefully the girl involved sees your video and we can comment-shame her into abiding by the spirit of gravel!! (Rule #398790 of the 'gravel has no rules' handbook explicitly states that only Lauren de Crescendo may draft male team mates.)

Wow, it's amazing how honourless some people try to win races. I would be ashamed to even plan a race in which I take a male as a wind shield to lead me to the front, competing against women. I also think that this kind of behaviour should be punished by the organisation.

Every race is a new lesson learned and progress. Course and weather looked perfect. Next time you find yourself in similar situation, just believe you can do it. “He who dares Rodney…………..” 😉
Maddy – well I designed the Gatehouse course and my wife Esther signed you in – amazingly, we met in Lahti years ago as exchange students from Edinburgh College of Art. You should see that place in the winter!
Great effort, great logo.. and nobody believes you really felt it was a shame to eat that cake…laughed a lot at the dating men closet comment…food critiques, cycling themed stand up …and racing at the front. 🎉
Great race vlog Miss Maddy Nutt. Well Done Maddy and great result being 4th female in Lahti Finland. Shame about that stick being too weak and unable to hold up your bike it just had one job and failed miserably on your aesthetic shot and then you not able to recce last few km due to that broken hanger and but for that then definitely a different race result. The first four female times so close. Well Done Team Ribble Collective.
Great ride, Maddy! You got a podium finish-super! That race was fun to watch, with your interesting narration. This is my first Finnish bike race to watch, but I have watched many a video of the WRC Finland Rally…awesome racing.

My twin and I raced MTBs on the same team. It created a lot of chaos. The name of the team ( wait for it ) Team Chaos!
Noteworthy to mention that the former PM of Finland was recently elected as the President of Finland 😅
