There are atleast two different options for time cleats for release angles 13/17 degree and a 10 degree. It may be as simple as switching the cleat to the other foot.

  2. I ran these for years. A good system in general. You can adjust the float by swapping cleats (13 or 17 degrees). One of them has a star on it and which foot the star goes on determines the float. I forget which side for which float. It will be a little stiff at first and then break in. I believe they make an easier to release cleat too.

Putting some chain lube on them will help with stiffness too.

  3. Yes as other have said, you have them on hard mode. Here are mine that I use in particularly technical trails so I like being able to get out easily. [nice shoes](https://imgur.com/a/WnPClrs)

Also I have a pair of ATAC that still work from 1999 I think. Crazy how long these work. I recently switched to a pair of Speciale 8s so I can ride around the street in flats with the kids.
