Following a winter maintenance tractor on a snowy day in Oulu, Finland. This path is one of the super maintenance class, and here it’s being plowed/ploughed for the third time today. The contractor / operator is Oulun Konetyö, and they’re doing a great job!

Good plowing machines need wide bikeways. Narrow paths make it very hard to use snow blowers. Here in Munich they just push the snow to the sides leaving a lot of slush :/

In Vinnytsia bike paths and sidewalks look like cleaned with brushing machines. I think, Oulu approach – ploughing wide path till packed snow instead of brushing up to the pavement, at least worth trying

Wow so nice to see such effective snow removal. Here we have these little single man things with a blade thats smaller than a golf cart to do the sidewalks, bike lanes dont get done even the painted lanes attached to the road.
