Hi all,
Just looking for some advice on replacing a broken brake lever. I'm not knowledgeable or experienced with bike repairs, so any advice is appreciated!
My brake lever snapped while I was braking, on my way to workb- I'm not sure if it was the cold snap possibly on top of having a couple of falls onto that left side over the years, but I'd never noticed any obvious damage.
Are there any things to look out for for replacement parts eg sizing? And any suggestions where to get parts?
I've found a site that has what looks like possibly the same part – is this sort of price (£40 for a set) pretty typical/reasonable?
https://www.pedalpedlar.co.uk/collections/weinmann/products/u-lev-d78v-weinmann-vintage-non-aero-drop-bar-brake-levers
If it helps, when I got the bike (refurbished from a bike shop) it was called a Raleigh Rapid Gents Tourer 531 Eroica (but that seems not to be an exact model?)
Thanks!

You could use this as an opportunity to upgrade to comfier modern levers with larger hoods — Tektro rl520 for example
Look for drop bar brake levers . Weinmann are common brake levers. £40 is to much look on eBay you will find something better and cheaper.
