im from swansea high street is one of the roughest areas and someone got murdered near there like 3 weeks ago. what annoys me is people not from swansea telling swansea how it is, cant like swansea that much if youre moaning about it, the city wont change for her/him. you should of went to the high street not far away from there, you being cardiff you might shit you pants hahahahahahahah

I lived there for 4 years then moved abroad the came back for another 4 years. I loved it! Back in England now and I hate it! Swansea is a great place.
Lived in Swansea most of my 36yrs… I would say most sensible people avoid the city centre. You don't feel very safe down there and its ever becoming more and more less like the overall area… The bloke with the can is a typical example of the trash you need to avoid. Making the area look rough. SA1 is nicer and mumbles.

There's plenty of bad in Swansea but I'd still take living here then a lot of UK cities. Good uni, plenty friendly of people, nice restaurants, a good night out, good shopping options, close to some beautiful nature, everywhere has crackheads it could be A LOT WORSE
Alot happens in areas outside city centre that people dont hear of unless gossip starts between people or videos on facebook, stuff doesnt make the news or isnt dealt with so happens daily.
