my hope floating rotor rubs when i turn and pedal hard is sanding where i circled a bad idea? would a hope brake work better? even with the hope post to 203 caliper mount i got it’s still rubbing

It’s a known issue with some shimano calipers and Hope rotors, and filing down slightly is the appropriate spot is the usual way to deal with it…although it’s usually sanding down the caliper, not the spacer.
Fwiw I use the same rotors (220/203) and have no rubbing issues with shimano 2 pot calipers, but the clearance and adjustment is very tight.
