Rain season is upon us so we can’t really ride the fire roads and trails so as not to degrade them in their muddy state. That being said, 40mm road tires take the Champaign gravel experience to shoddy B-roads.
Only downside: the need to use goober, bolt-on fenders.

I love the S-Blade fenders. Super nice to pop them on and off! Looks like we have the same issue with the front fender; it fits my round tube steel fork on my commuter fine, but is a bit of a stretch to fit on the carbon fork on my gravel bike.

Does Speedrockers fit on your bike? And I love that there’s 40c road tires by Pirelli. I have 32c on my roadbike bur would try 35c Cinturato Velo or P-Zero.
