After many years and many miles, the freehub on my 2013 Giant Trance 29er is on its last legs. Looking for some recommendations on what to replace it with.
My understanding is that I’d need to replace both the wheel and freehub? And convert the QR to thru-axle? Is the current gear set going to be an issue?
I have another bike so I’m happy to spend some $$ replacing this and I want to learn how to do it.

Maybe the biggest issue, is your frame boost spacing? A lot of modern quality hubs are boost spacing. You can still get quality QR hubs, shimano XT are still available if you look online.
