    I put flatbars on my steel road bike for lols and now I hate that I really like the look…

    2nd & 3rd picture for proof that this is an xbike lol I do take it on dirt paths to explore stuff with.

    Really fun bike but I had to move the levers and saddle to my daily driver for reasons and now this one is sitting unusable for a little while until I can afford to buy another set of Rival 1×11 levers and another Ritchey WCS skyline saddle. (And a Ritchey classic zero seatpost cuz my saddle needs to go more forward and it needs to match the look)

    Decided to put some flat bars on it from a 90s rockhopper and now I know that if I ever get another road bike, I'm putting those bars on this bike with Tektro FL750 levers and a Dia Compe downtube shifter.

      It looks clean cause the shifters and brakes aren’t hooked up yet. That said, I love the looks of mustache handlebars with bar-end shifters on classic frames.

      I’ll be real with you it makes you look like a fixie hipster, which is a cool look, but you gotta go in fully.

      The bike looks overall better with drop bars especially if you’re riding it off road or for longer rides, super narrow flat bars will destroy your wrists on long rides.

      You do what makes you happy though!

      Also awesome to see another cyclist in the Netherlands, is that the Veluwe you’re in? I thought it was the US or Canada at first till I saw the sign was in Dutch

      Nice build. I love a good neo retro build. If you say it’s not being used at the moment, might as well keep a flat bar on it in the meantime…
