First time using this tube, second time on road tires (gravel bike). Tire doesn’t have anything poking through or any marks of anything like that, didn’t find anything inside either. I was just riding on my local outdoor velodrome. Am I just unlucky or does someone have an idea of what could cause this type of puncture?

Maybe there is something small poking through your tire?
Check your rim for any sharp bits inside.
It just looks like a standard puncture. Could come from a staple, IV needle, sewing needle, broken glass, an Italian racing team from a bad 80s movie, etc. If it is a reoccurring issue consider tires with explicit puncture resistance or perhaps more contentiously, tire liners.
Looks like it could be from riding with low pressure.
Which dimensions have tire and tube?
It looks like the damage extends past where the actual puncture is, to me looks like a scrape or a pinch. Were any tools used to install the tire? Across from the valve stem seems like an unlikely place for the tube to get pinched with tools or installation though. But riding with low pressure and hitting something like a small crack/seam of concrete could potentially do it too.
To me it looks like deffective tube, not a puncture from outside. Damage is imprinting the nipple patch.
Might be also a pinch flat / snakebite.
Isn’t this called a “pinch flat”. Riding with low pressure then jumping a curb or even a simple bump or even just a small bounce on the bike will cause the tube to get “pinched” by the rim causing a hole, which leads to a flat tire. 🚲
I would guess maybe from tire levers when you were putting the tire back on?
