Hey all,
Title says it all.
I want a bit of a quiver killer; something that can be used on trails but can also handle some enduro.
I was convinced by the Hightower C S-kit 2024 based on a bunch of reviews and recommendations, but the opportunity to get the Stumpjumper Evo Pro 2022 has come up – both at relatively similar prices (first hand). I've wanted the latter for ages, but they're increasingly running out of stock in the UK after being discontinued.
Whilst I've got much more familiar with the sport, I still don't have the best perspective on how components improve year on year, so don't know how much a 2022 model fares vs a 2024 model.

Before anyone says 'try them', unfortunately, it's not quite as easy as that.
Thank you for any input!

I have a 2019 stumpy. The one thing I don’t like about it is the lack of torsional stiffness if that’s what it’s called. Basically my sideways force on the back wheel makes the rear linkage bearings creak so fast. I’ve also had to replace the shock bushing like 2-3 times. I got a Santa Cruz nomad this year and the suspension linkage appears and feels a lot more stable with the side to side force. I would personally go with the Hightower because of that reason alone.
