Here we are. Again. First snow of the season. I didn’t wish for this, but there is not much I can do about it. Just roll with it. Sweden is Sweden after all. Winter can last for a very long time here. Sometimes we get bonus snow in May.
My first snow ride of the season is on my garbage bike, which I have started to call Tom Bombadil. I felt like it needed a name after we named the swamp bike Shrek. And I rode the garbage bike in my Tom Bombadil video, so why not. Remember that? It was only a few weeks ago I was riding around and eating apples straight from the trees. Now I’m trying to survive hidden ice.
Enjoy the video, fellow winter enjoyers! //Addvurt

riding my mountain bike on a completely snow covered trail last year was some of the most fun i had in winter since i was a kid
I wish snow was real
Dude I already left comments but I love your videos, they are so relaxing and they always seem to make me smile as well, also your English is literally perfect (I am assuming it’s a second language!)
I love riding in the cold and snow!
I have never seen snow, I think I would die trying to ride it with a skinny road tire bike on it whilst filming with one hand.
Look foward to shreks unveling as a princess bike, hope your winter isnt too long.
I love these videos.
no issue. just need proper equipment. i use ice spiker pro tires during winter + kmc ept chain + winter specific chain lubricant. those couple thing makes riding during winter much better.
Snow also today in Cleveland USA. Adventure time!
Wow I’m one of the first to a video
Anxiously awaiting to ride in the snow in Canada as well, I'm pretty sick of the cold rain.
Yeah! If you haven't read "Frostbike" by Tom Babin, I think you would enjoy. As you said, it's all about making lemonade.
The ice is what really makes my bike rides suffer, the council doesn’t put much effort (I.E any) into salting the cycle paths so it’s either risk falling over or ride on a busy city road and nearly get run over.
Haha – excellent! We had a drop of snow in the UK a couple of days ago, the way our media responded you'd think a mighty blizzard had swamped the country in six feet of the stuff. I don't have a bicycle with a coaster brake, it's a situation I need to remedy. Cheers👍🏼
That garbage bike needs a tune up 😅
I only rode occasionally in the snow the last few years but this fall I started biking to the local 7-11 a mile away to get my morning caffeine. I continued as the snow came, being careful to judge the surfaces. Here it is not unusual to get short thaws followed by overnight cold resulting in ice, then that gets covered by snow, a deadly combination.
So far so good!
Another great video; the essence of cycling; just go, explore, take what comes, enjoy.
We had an initial snow this week here in MN. And it was super satisfying to go on a night ride and see the flakes showing up in the headlight. But I'd still like to see that chain video….
"Interesting" is a great way to describe it! 😀
The 🌈 🧦!! Please make a "how to dress for garbage snow biking"
Good clean fun 😊👍
Chain look loose.
