If the BB is loose it needs tightening. If the BB is tight and it’s still rocking then you need a new BB.
If they’re hollowtech 2 cracks then they might just need preloading correctly.

Yup. You need a new main bearing, and that is a simple task. Cranks off, remove the bearing and show it to the mechanic. They will provide you a matching component. You may need a special tool for the bearing.
