We have been asked many times, when do you publish the ride from Bormio to Stelvio? Our answer was, that it is such a great ride we wanted to film it under perfect conditions. A day in early September 2021 the sky cleared up, and we were able to film the perfect ride with perfect weather.
Passo dello Stelvio is the highest and the most popular mountain pass in Italy. With its jaw-dropping views, the approach from Bormio is spectacular all the way to the top. Even though it is a very difficult ride, you are never bored on this ride. It has and lots of hairpins, many tunnels (short), and segments with various gradients. The Giro d’Italia has been using it many times. And it is very popular with numerous sportives and that is for a good reason. It is a true bucket-list ride that everybody with the required fitness should do. We filmed this epic ride on a beautiful sunny day, so you can experience it in its full splendor.

Just add music:
Most cyclists would agree that the ride to Col du Tourmalet is outstanding. But when it comes to music, opinions are very mixed. This is why we haven’t added music and why we recommend adding your favorite music to the ride. It is quite simple. Mute YouTube and open a browser window. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, YouTube, etc…) and pick the music you like, and enjoy the ride… The original sound of the ride has been left out. This is because that the natural sound of the surroundings is drowned by noise from passing cars, vibrations from the road, wind, and the rider’s breathing.

Fantastic, always wanted to ride this climb. Thank you so much.
This ride makes you want to take DEEP BREATHS, I can only imagine how clean the air must be over there
Looks fun. And painfull too. 🤣
Thanks for this awesome ride!
👍👌💪 groeten uit Nederland🚴🏻♀️🚵🏻♀️🚵♂️
Given that the time to climb was 1 hour and 10 minutes, I can only assume that this was recorded on a motorcycle going "slow" (and probably the real reason why there was no audio).
Lovely video. But it doesn't feel like riding a bike. Well, maybe an e-bike….
PASSO LEGGENDARIO LO FACCIO HA PIEDI DA MOLTI ANNI
Wondertul. Could I ask a favour, please? My wife ad I love these videos and they encourage so much more exercise on our static bike. Many rides end at the top but we love the downhill rides, too and the circular rides are all superb. As an example, has anyone ridden and recorded the full Hardknott Pass in the English Lake District?
Italy is very beautiful. Great video
Your videos are stunning. Thank you so much!
Traffic on this Route? Heavy or light?
Nice video but……instead of 'indoor cycling' it should be called 'motorbike ride' 😂
