I just built up a new bike and was looking closely at the fork when changing some compression settings. It looks like the damper body is slightly backed out from the uppers doesn’t it? First two pics is the fork in question. Comparison in the last two pics from a charger 2.1 zeb that I also have in the house.
In other words, should the damper body be completely flush with the fork crown on a charger 3 Rockshox Pike? Because mine is not and that seems wrong haha

The o-ring is inside the tube. There may be a very slight fit issue between the stanchion tube and the crown but it’s not a problem for the sealing surface since it is inside the tube.

This is actually totally normal. Threw me for a bit of a loop the first time I saw it as well.

If you’re concerned, take the adjusters off and use a cassette lockring tool to tighten it.
