The White Lion pub in Ash Magna, Shropshire, hosted its first classic car meeting recently, so in support we navigated the Ford V8 Pilot over there to view proceedings. We were the first ones to arrive, just beating a 1950s Riley RM saloon.
Various interesting old cars turned up at the White Lion throughout the morning, including pre- and post-war classic cars and several motorcycles. The replica GT40 was particularly eye-catching and had a much more vocal V8 soundtrack than the muted burble of our “flathead” Ford Pilot.
This old car meeting at the White Lion, Salop, is set to be a regular occurrence so keep an eye on their website/Facebook page for future dates, we’ll certainly try and get to this meet again in future. It’s certainly a good location for a Shropshire classic car meet.
Thanks for checking out this video on the Old Classic Car channel, comments, likes and subs welcomed as always! These morning car meets are smaller than some of the classic car shows we get to, and a result have a different, more laid back, vibe to them.

Excellent! Nice little meet…… that Plymouth took up about 3/4 of the available space, didn't it?
Great video thanks for sharing 👍.
A very pleasant way to spend a summer's evening and a nice meet with a mixed variety of cars.
Another really enjoyable video.
Nice.
📻🙂
Great video. I much prefer your videos of these smaller meets than those on a granda scale. Also find your fettling videos interesting as you undertake various chores on your different vehicles and we also get a chance to look inside the Aladdin's cave that is OCC HQ.
Not sure if there is space for it to grow much but some lovely cars already. Yes, that looked like a D1 Bantam, which were usually pale green.
That was a really enjoyable vid, the line up of White gems was a great sight. Congrats on 30k, I’m really enjoying your channel, you get the mix of cars you spend time looking at these meets just right which I’m sure isn’t easy ! Great job.
Great meet😊
Thanks😊😊😊
For a first event at the White Lion I think you had a good turnout. I love the MK1 Cortina and no I don't mind if it is not a standard colour. The MK1 Escort was a nice example as well. In a way I wish Ford made more GT 40's, such a great car for its time. Not to take away anything from this replica, very well done. I should of course mention the Plymouth Fury and I agree with your remarks on this car. Also a good showing for MG's in varying forms which is always nice to see. The VW Beetle was a well presented car. I've probably forgotten a few but thanks Rick for a bonus video to celebrate the 30K in subscriptions, once again congratulations. 👍👍
More community run pubs and meets needed!!! Fabulous!
The Pilot was looking very smart, shining nicely in the sun. The GT6 was the star of the meet for me. Nice to see Mrs OCC's wild flowers.
Thank you , love these smaller events , complete with wild flower border’s and chickens. 👏🏻
Great small meet, clean cars, friendly dog, open door to the pub…..perfect!
Your V8 pilot is so clean, no a spec of rust, testament to the steel and paint quality used
Well done Richard and hats off to Harley too. And of course Dad must get a mention as well ! Cheers !
The V8 Pilot looks better every time I see it on video.
How can I send you and Harley a pic of my first car when I was his age. Only British car I have owned!
I remember my boss picking me up in his Jensen interceptor just out of school at 16 . I remember all the buttons being lit up great memories from the mid 70’s.
