Cyclists are their own worst enemy. Im sick of hearing how badly they are treated by other motorist. Im a professional driver of a LGV. I see them ignoring lights, ignoring cycle lanes, cycling down the nearside of my trailer all whilst paying no tax or insurance to use the roads. Its not the minority either, its the majority. The worst culprits are cycling clubs.
If I am supposed to allow 1.5m gap when overtaking a cyclist then why can they come up on my inside when I am in a queue and there is only a couple of feet gap to the curb? They dont know when the traffic will move again so they shouldnt be there.
And absolutely no one was hurt or endangered in any way. What a waste of resources.

I hate when mopeds do it.
As a driver, I applaud cyclists who treat red lights as a give way and proceed safely across a red light… rather than pulling to the front of traffic and grouping up in front of me, causing fewer cars to make it through the lights when they eventually change.
The cyclist didn't cause any danger whatsoever to themselves or anyone else, which surely should be the real issue? Plenty of people are not breaking the law but causing a danger on the road.
Unfortunately alot of cyclists do this not all but alot do …. The solution to this is is a license like everyone else licence 10 questions … Something very basic …insurance etc … Just like everyone else passed the age of 18 … Failure to do so will result in a fine and confiscation of the bicycle

*I know you do get a percentage of cyclists that break the rules, I'm not denying that; but please also show us footage of the motorists that do the same thing. 🙂

I see this every day. The worst thing with the dark mornings and evenings are the ones with no lights fitted. I fear I might get the front of my dented.
Not sure about deciding to stop them in a double yellow area leading into a roundabout though causing more problems than the original offence.
I don’t know exactly what it’s like in other cities but here in a Dublin the Deliveroo delivery bike riders are lethal, no lights, no hi-viz, wrong way down one way streets, breaking lights, riding on footpaths etc.
Cops should ensure the subject pulled over is in front of their car, so the dashcam captures the interaction.

It's a shame the police don't catch more car and van drivers on their phones and driving through red lights because the evidence is that they brwak the law far more often than cyclists.

Must be the only cyclist in Britain to be charged for running a red light seeing that just about all of them still do it and I've never seen police bother to stop them when they do see them.

As a cyclist of sixty something years I'm sick and tired of these lycra clad clowns. One thing I've never done and never will is to ride in a large group, go through red lights and generally behave in a smug entitled manner.

Where is the cycle lane?, they do this to so not to hold car up. So the police car causing death to 9 million people with toxic fumes from his vehicle thinks he can protect the public by this is completely wrong
