My mother bought this bike 2 years ago with the intentions to resell it. She paid 500 usd for it. She was sure at the time she was getting it cheap (Iām not so sure about it) 2 years later here we are, bike is still here, not being used, so I want to finally sell it but I do not know the model or the year of it.
Could you please help me identify the model and year?
Also, for how much would you sell it??

My guess is XtC Comp, but how can I be sure, I wish there was something to identify it. š
Looks like a normal sized bike to me
It’s an XTC Comp and an old model. I looked back 12 years and the bikes had disc brakes then. So its older than that and has V brakes which are far less desirable. Maybe $300 if someone really wanted it?
I am guessing it is at least 20 years old based on my quick search since it looks like the Giant XTC comp hasn’t run rim brakes for a long time. It was higher end at the time but unfortunately I think your mother probably overpaid since it was purchased during the COVID bike boom where prices were inflated and I am not very optimistic that she’ll get her money back on it.
Edit: It does look to be disc brake compatible so maybe it was downgraded?
It looks normal size to me.
