The GR5 is an approximately 700-kilometre long hiking trail including 40 000 meters of ascent and traversing the heart of the French Alps from Lac Léman (aka Lake Geneva) in the north of France to the Mediterranean Sea in the south. It is one of the world’s most spectacular hiking trails. I will solo hike this trail over several weeks.

  1. I love all the little towns you go thru. The houses are all adorable. I guess those little bakeries are a welcome sight. Thanks again for sharing.

  2. That view from the front of your tent (towards the beginning of this video) was astonishing. It was as if you were looking at a giant post card picture with all the benefit of 3D. Hard to believe that spot exists. And it appears that this part of the trail was much easier than to previous ones. Not easy, just easier. The walk on the roads through the old but beautiful and well maintained villages must have been a very inspiring and welcome treat for you. Maybe your body had a little chance to get a little break on this one. Very nice, Get some good quality rest and recharge for the challenges ahead. Thank you and I will see you on the next one.
